When Tabitha Campbell found out that her half twin siblings were what was classed as Gemini Twins, she began to feel very put out. Why did they have to have that special thing going on between them? It had been bad enough that the only brother she had known all of her life, decided to take off to Pandora to spend time with his twin, and now this. Tabby wasn't usually the jealous type, but for some reason she felt that way about this. She had found out because the Covens in Luna Cove had found out and news soon spread about town. People were also talking about it when they came into the diner.
The more she heard, the more jealous and ticked off she became over it. They had said that they would be in contact with her and in the time that Ryder had moved to Pandora, he had called her once. That was it. She wasn't letting it get to her because she kept thinking that he was just getting to know his twin and his new found father, and probably settling into a new place. However, as the weeks went on, it got more and more annoying; so much so, she decided that she was going to make the trip to Pandora herself.
It was the weekend, and she made sure to get cover for the diner and took off, using a locator spell to guide her on where to go. She might be a little younger, but she was old enough to travel without adults and she didn't tell her grandmother what she was doing either. If she knew, she'd only try to stop her, as perfect Campbell Matriarch seemed to be all for Ryder and Rori getting to know one another. It was upsetting her that she was feeling so jealous as it just wasn't like her and yet at the same time, her emotions were taking over, having a mind of their own.
She rang the bell on the door of the house that the locator spell said was theirs. It was a huge place. It was big enough to house more than just the three of them. It meant that if she wanted to live here, then there would be more than enough room for her. True, James wasn't her biological father, but she was still related to his kids. Why he hadn't even thought to ask her to come live with them, that was what had probably helped her jealousy to spiral out of control. Ryder opened the door and beamed when he saw his kid sister there. “Hey Tabs, what you doing here?” He asked, calling her the name he always used to use on her, the one that she secretly didn't like, preferring Tabby but had never said anything. Tabby had a slight scowl on her face, and Ryder was quick to pick up on that, and his first thought was that something was wrong with their grandma. “What is it Tabby? Why are you looking so upset?” He prompted. Tabby sighed, “Nothing, she's fine. You know I never did like you calling me Tabs, so if you don't mind, don't do it again. Tabby or Tabitha if you don't mind.” Ryder was quick to pick up on her chilled tone and not even a please being used. It was unlike her to be so frosty.
He frowned, the earlier bright smile slowly vanishing from his face, “Right. Fine. You're clearly upset, so what gives? Actually, pointless standing here, why don't you come on inside.” He stepped back and opened the door wider for her, but she stood her ground for now. “Not really sure that I would be welcome. I mean, after all, in all the time you've been here, I have had one telephone call and nobody has ever thought to invite me through.” Ryder looked down, sighing, feeling sad. He knew what she was saying was true. She had a very valid point, but so much had happened from the moment he arrived and he was still finding his feet with it all. “I'm sorry. It's just been crazy since I moved here, so much as happened, you wouldn't believe it.” He said with excitement, and the smile coming back. This just annoyed Tabby all the more. “Yes, I know. That's why I am here, to talk about it.” Now Ryder's smile evaporated completely, he could always read his kid sister and he could tell that she was far from happy about this. “Don't tell me you're jealous Tabby? Seriously? It's not like it's my fault that I have a twin I never knew about and that we have this special connection. It's not just that either. We're part of a Celestial Trinity.” Maybe he shouldn't have offered that information but he couldn't help it. “Well, doesn't it just keep getting better and better and I actually did hear a rumour about that also. The Covens in Luna are not happy about it you know. I'm surprised that they haven't come through already to put a stop to it.”
By the time, Rori who was still inside, was wondering what was keeping Ryder so long to find out who was at the door, so she came out too. “Oh Tabby, it's lovely to see you, she pushed by Ryder and instantly wrapped her arms around her new sister.” Tabby awkwardly hugged her back, but she pulled out of the embrace rather quickly. Rori seen the look on her face and glanced to Ryder with her eyebrow risen. “She's not happy about us status as Gemini Twins and apparently the whole Celestial Trinity is a step too far.” Rori stared blankly at Tabby. “Is this true? You're jealous? It's not like you are just a normal human being Tabby, you're a Campbell witch, you're just as powerful as we are.” However Tabby was not for being won over and she just shook her head, still scowling. “No, that's where you're wrong, I am not and I never will be. Your magic together will be ten times stronger than mine. To be honest, what annoys me the most is the fact that I just got left behind in Luna. I had one phone call from Ryder, nothing from you, it's almost like the both of you ceased to exist. So you bet I am fuming about it.” Ryder tried to reason with his sister once more. “Look, maybe you will be a part of the Trinity, maybe it's not a Trinity, maybe it's a, actually I don't know what they would call a four way magic group, a quadity?” He chuckled, as he knew that was not a proper word.
However, Tabby glared at him, shaking her head, “Don't be so stupid. You get group powers from a complete coven, you get the Gemini Twin thing and smaller groups its always in threes, hence trinity. The power of three they call it, not four. I have read up on it all.” Rori sighed and trying to smile and reason with her, “Why don't you come in, I'll make you a hot chocolate or something and we can talk about all of this rationally. You might be getting the wrong idea about this. Being a Campbell, you could easily be a part of the Coven as a whole, your magic with ours would only amplify it, of that I am sure.” She was really trying to appeal to the softer side of Tabby that she knew existed. Tabby looked wary, “I don't know. Besides, I was never invited here, as I said to Ryder before, not sure I'd be welcome inside.” Rori sighed and shook her head, “Don't be so daft, come on. Dad is at work right now, a weekend case he had to work on. Beth and Ryan are up in their rooms, so we won't get disturbed.”
Maybe Tabby might have just been coming round, but when she heard that there was a Beth and Ryan in their rooms, she got wound up all the more. She put her hand up, “Wait, what? Who are they?” Rori rolled her eyes and bit on her lip, she didn't think about that. It was clear that Tabby was jealous about the magic stuff, and not being invited through and now she is talking about two people that Tabby only barely met living with them. “You know who they are, we brought them back through from Luna, remember? Ryan saved me from that Camilla person and Beth escaped her clutches at the same time.” Now she remembered, “Oh, them, forgot about that. Sorry. But couldn't they have found rooms at a hostel or something? Why here with you?” Ryder spoke up this time.
“Because Rori got attacked and Ryan saved her, and so because he did that, dad offered him a home, this happened before I came through to Pandora though. Beth, well, she was scared and had nobody here already and nowhere to live, so dad took pity on her. Plus we think that there is something going on with her, so, keep your friends close, your enemies closer.” Rori nudged him, a bit anxious that he should have told Tabby about their suspicions on Beth. If Tabby was that pissed off at them, she might talk to Beth and tell her things that they'd rather she didn't get to know. “Oh, well, I'm sorry about that. I'm good at liar spells, maybe I can cast one on her and try to find out?” She said a little too enthusiastically, but Ryder shot her down. “No, she might get too suspicious. Thanks though. We're just leaving things as they are. So, are you coming in or what? Stop us looking like idiots convened on the door.” Tabby sighed, still holding a lot of resentment and anger, but giving in, “Fine, this doesn't mean that I am any happier.” She walked in, and Rori closed the door behind her and together they all made their way into the lounge.

Once inside, Rori smiled at Tabby, trying to make up for the fact that she had felt abandoned. “Can I get you something to drink? Hot chocolate, or lemonade or anything else?” However, Tabby, not even sitting down, just standing, shook her head. “No. I don't even know why I came in. Look at this place. It's massive, and you have people living here who aren't even family and I don't even get invited through to stay for a weekend, not once.” She was so bitter. She couldn't help it. For all of her life, it had just been her and Ryder with their mother when she was around and their grandmother. This sister pops up from nowhere and suddenly, Ryder is here getting to know her and she is left behind.
At the time she was happy for him, but she had expected him to either come and see her or ask for her to visit, and neither had happened all but one telephone call. Was it really any wonder that she was feeling so angry at them? “Tabitha, we explained that already. Why they are living here. Everything imploded when Ryder came back. The whole Gemini Twins thing and the Trinity. It's not that we never thought about you. We were just getting used to it all, we still are. We are so pleased to see you, you have got to believe us.” Rori said and Ryder smiled and nodded. “Of course we are. I mean, the soon as we had gotten to grips with this, we would have called for you.” Tabby wanted so much to believe that, but she couldn't. Maybe if they had called her more often she might have, but no, she couldn't get head around the fact that they had just carried on as though she didn't exist. Out of sight, out of mind, wasn't that the saying that went around?
Still standing, not really wanting to make herself comfortable, she just glared. “No, if you hadn't wanted me to feel forgotten, you'd have came through to see me, or called me here.” She pushed Ryder in the chest with her fists. “You were my brother, you were mine. Now you're hers and I'm nothing.” Ryder pulled at her hands and held them firmly, or tried to. “Stop that. Jealousy doesn't suit you Tabby. You know how much of a surprise it was for both Aurora and I. I had a right to get to know my twin and my father.” Tabby's bottom lip quivered, as she tried not to start crying. She knew when her brother was telling the truth, and he was, but it was still hurting. She wanted so much to just fall into his open arms, and yet, her anger was keeping her from doing it. She finally pulled out of his grip, “Don't touch me. Don't you dare touch me any more. You know, be happy here with your new family. I don't care. I just don't care. I have had the Wells Coven ask if I want to join and you know what, I am seriously thinking about it. At least I will feel like a belong.” She wasn't staying here a moment longer, she began to storm out of the room towards the door. Rori sighed and rolled her eyes, but Ryder went after her.
He grabbed her arm, “Tabby, don't be so stupid. Stay, lets talk this out. You don't need to do this. I am sure dad will be only too happy for you to stay a while.” It was too late though, and full of rage she turned round, “I said don't touch me.” Ryder was horrified to see her, her eyes had turned black and she had little black veins across her face and even her hair had gone a sort of raven colour. It was really quite frightening. By this time Rori had followed him outside and she stood in the doorway horrified by what she was seeing. “What, how, why are you looking like that?” She said, pointing, her eyes open wide. Tabby tilted her head to the side and smirked, “It's called using my dark side. You should try it. Anyway, I'm bored of this now.” She made to turn away once more when Rori tried to stop her this time.
“Come on Tabby, just talk to us. There's no need to be like this.” Tabby was still looking the same when she turned round. “I'm not sure you will like what I have to say. I noticed that Ryder is already calling himself a Hanaway, he's a Campbell, always will be, mother is a Campbell and he should have kept that name.” Ryder stepped closer and sighed, “I'm calling myself Ryder Campbell-Hanaway actually. It's just less of a mouthful to drop the Campbell. Besides had father known about me, I'd have been a Hanaway, not a Campbell, just like Rori.” This wasn't doing anything to ease Tabby's anger. She glared, “Whatever. I'll tell you something that will help, might help. If you two were to combine your magic. Oh yes, I know all about the Gemini Twin thing. Camilla told me all about it. If you combine, and you're not strong enough, one either dies, or you both do and I inherit the lost magic. I quite like that idea.” She smiled, this time it wasn't like the one that she used to use with her family, this one was pure evil. Tabby wasn't the sister that Ryder knew and loved.
“Why are you acting like this? We told you that ignoring you wasn't an intentional thing. Just drop it, come on inside and I'll ask dad to let you stay for a few weeks, how's that?” For a brief second, she was seriously thinking about it and as she did, remembering the brother she loved, the darkness was slowly beginning to dissipate. But then in a flash, it stopped and she was full on dark again. “No. I want you to combine your magic, or if you don't want to do that, I mean I'm not that cold, just give it to me. Give it all to me.” Ryder tried to reason with her, he felt it would be better if he did, as they were closer, or had been. He approached her and put his hands on her arms. “Tabby, snap out of it. Come on, this isn't you. If you want to come and live here and be a part of the new Campbell Coven, we'd love that. You don't have to be like this.” He was really trying, but her look wasn't softening at all. She was getting darker and darker. “But that won't make me stronger, now will it?” She put her hand out and it sent a blast, so that Ryder went flying away from her and landed into Rori, and thankfully she put her hands out in time, to stop him from actually falling and taking her with him.
“Tabitha, that is enough. Do you hear me?” Rori shouted, coming forward. Maybe she didn't know her enough, but she was still her sister, and her elder at that, even if it was only by a couple of years. “Now, don't be so silly. Come and live with us and be a part of us. We can help you get stronger without going to the dark side. You were so sweet to me in Luna.” Rori tried to reason, but she could tell almost straight away that it wasn't washing with her. Tabby still looked dark and like she was ready to tear them apart. This time it was she who was sent by a blast and she landed on her backside. “I said no. I want your magic, give it to me now!” She demanded as she used her hands to swipe at both of them, each one causing slash marks to appear on their arms and torsos. Both of them were doubled up in pain and crying, and just as Tabby was standing over the both of them, yelling, “Give me your power now.” A voice from an older female behind them, shouted, “Tabitha Campbell, what in the hell do you think you are doing to your siblings?” The sound of her voice made Tabby stop what she was doing, and in that second, she turned back to normal and she turned round to be faced with their mother Carolyn.

Carolyn Campbell stood with her hands on her hips, and looking extremely angry and disappointed in her youngest daughter. “So young lady, explain yourself, right now.” Rori was standing in the doorway with her mouth open. This was the first time she had seen her biological mother face to face. She knew it was her, even if she hadn't yelled at Tabby about doing horrible things to her siblings, because she had seen enough photos of her. Tears began to run down her face, until she had seen her, she hadn't dared to believe that her mother was actually still alive. Still, a tiny part of her was still fuming at her for abandoning her and her father and for keeping her twin brother from her.
Ryder turned to look at Rori, and could see how upset she was, and so he enveloped her in a hug. “I wasn't expecting her to come through, after what she did to you and me, I'm not happy to see her. But, she has stopped Tabby doing what she was going to do.” Rori leant into him and looked up and gave him a small smile, “I know, I hate to think how far she would have gone if your, I mean our mother hadn't turned up.” Ryder continued to hug his twin to try and comfort her, while their mother continued to tear shreds off of their younger sister.
Tabby hadn't said a word, instead, just staring at her mother, and crying. “Well, cat got your tongue Tabitha?” She dropped her arms down to her side, and continued to glare at Tabby. “I, I, I...I don't know what I was doing. I just began to get very jealous. Ryder was my brother, MY brother, new sister comes along and suddenly he's living her and I'm all forgotten about. I then find out they're Gemini Twins and belong to a power of three Trinity. I just felt really left out and I still do, sorry.” As the jealousy within her began to rise once more, her features began to change once more. This was when Carolyn knew what had happened, something she had tried to keep Tabitha from for a long time. That damn Camilla Wells had got her claws into her youngest and she was turning dark. “I told you to stay away from that wretched woman Tabitha. She's no good. Dark magic, it's not good. It consumes us, once you go there it's very hard to be pulled back.” Tabby hung her head and then looked up again, features even more darker than before. “But it's so powerful, it makes me feel so good. I just don't want them to be more powerful than me.” Forgetting that her mother was there, she turned back to her so called siblings. With her hand outstretched, she began to say some words.
“From the power within me, I summon the Gemini power to me. From the power within me, I summon the Gemini power to me.” She kept repeating it over and over, and as she did, Rori and Ryder began to grow a little weaker. However, Ryder battled through it, and approached her, getting ever closer. “I don't care what you think you want to do to us, but I love you Tabby. I'm your brother, I always have been and I love you. I will always love you. I'm sorry that I went quiet, it wasn't my intention. I do love you and I do need you and want you in my life. Love is stronger than anything, love always wins. Love is what brought us together and love is what will keep us together. I love you.” The more he spoke and told her he loved her, the less the pull seemed to be and her features once more slowly returned to normal until she collapsed into his arms sobbing.
Both Rori and Carolyn had watched the scene with their hands on their hearts, fearful for what Tabby might to do Ryder with him getting so close. However, it would seem that love between the siblings was stronger than Tabby's need to get the Gemini power. Carolyn moved closer to her son and Tabby. “Now my beautiful girl, let that be a lesson to you. Dark magic is not worth the pain it can cause. I told you that your brother still loved you. Now it's pretty clear to me that this came about because you missed him. So, why don't we all move here? I'm sure once your father realises what this separation has done to you, he will be only to happy to live in Pandora. That way you can see your brother whenever you want with no distance between you.” Tabby pulled out of the embrace and looked at her mother, smiling through her tears, “Really? You'd do that for me?” Carolyn nodded and smiled, “If it will make you happy and stop this dark road, then yes, of course.” Tabby then ran into her mother's open arms and hugged her. “Oh yes, yes I'd like that, thank you.” She then turned round to face her siblings, “I am so sorry, can you forgive me please?” Ryder was already nodding and hugged her, “After that declaration of love, it would be a bit unfair if I said that I couldn't.” He chuckled, and Rori then nodded, “Of course, you're my sister.”
Carolyn moved closer to Rori, “My beautiful girl, oh how you have grown. Look at you, you're stunning. You're a well rounded girl, your father brought you up well, just as I had hoped. I'm sorry that I couldn't keep you from this life, that's what I had wanted. That's why I did what I did. I hope in time you will be able to forgive me.” Rori could barely look at her, she was more angry at the fact that by doing what she did, she robbed her of a brother and her father of a son. “I don't know. What you did was cruel. Grandmother explained about the ritual thing, and I understand that part of it I guess, but to keep me from my twin and him from his father? That was probably the worst thing you could do. It was heartless and I'm not sure I can ever forgive you for that. I'm sorry.” Carolyn nodded slowly, tears in her eyes, feeling sad, that her eldest daughter felt that way. “I, I'm sorry. Maybe in time then.” Ryder was now glaring at his mother, “I'm not too happy either you know. I could have had a father in my life and you took that from me. I get why you did it, I'd have hated Rori to be put through those brutal trials, but to keep me from my father? Why didn't you just leave the life and be a family?” Carolyn shook her head, tears still falling, “It wasn't that easy. Back then, the Covens were far more strict. You simply couldn't walk away. They still do the trials now. I'm worried that now they realise my first born daughter is in Pandora and her magic has manifested, they will come for her and put her through those trials.”
Rori shrugged, “Let them come, I'm strong, and with my Trinity we are stronger than any witch out there. If I don't want to leave and do them, I won't and they won't be able to force me either.” She didn't doubt that her daughter's magic would be strong. What with the Gemini Twin thing and the Trinity, but, she didn't realise how it worked. “Rori sweetheart, it won't be that simple. I plead you to use your magic sparingly, don't make them seek you out.” Rori gave her a small smile, “Please don't call me sweetheart, you don't even know me, yet. I can't not use my magic. I'm connected to Lucifer and he often asks us to do things for him, and I am not going to tell him no.” Carolyn put her head into her hands. Tied to Lucifer, this was exactly what she hadn't wanted for Rori. Seeing how torn her mother seemed to be, she put her hand on her arm, “It's what I wanted, I was happy to do it. Even dad approves. He's celestial and half fae, did you know that?”
Carolyn looked down at Rori's hand on her arm, and smiled, putting one of her own over it. “No, I didn't. I thought he was just a normal human being. Another reason why I tried to shield you from it all. I didn't think he would understand.” Rori smiled a little, “His powers didn't manifest until he arrived here, same as mine. It was also the spirit of Georgina Campbell that told dad what he was. It took him a while to get his head around it all. He knows you're still alive and he wasn't happy about that either or the fact you kept his son from him.” In fact, she was pretty sure that her father would be pissed if he seen her mother here.
Carolyn sighed, and nodded her head. “I understand. No doubt he will see red if he clocks his eyes on me. Well, look, let me take Tabby home, so we can talk to her father, get things sorted and packed up for moving here. Then I'll have a good talk with your father and let him know why I did what I did.” Rori let go of her arm and smiled slightly and nodded, “Very well then. I'll have to let him know that you were here though, he deserves to know.” Ryder came and put his arm around his twin, “Yes, he does.” Tabby then ran towards the two of them and hugged them both and they returned the gesture, so it was a group hug. Tabby then muffled her apologies. “I'm really sorry for what I did. I'll be seeing you soon and if the offer still stands to join the Campbell Coven here, I'll take you up on it.” Rori laughed lightly, “Of course it is. See you soon then.” With that Carolyn put her arm around Tabby and soon they were out of distance and Rori let out a sigh of relief and turned to her brother, “I was so scared. I honestly thought that Tabby was going to kill us for a minute.” Ryder nodded and looked sad, “Me too, so glad I got through to her. Come on, I'll make us both a hot chocolate and toast, that always makes us feel better.” Rori laughed, as he was so right about that. “I like the sound of that.”
