Rori was still in the dark about the town in which she was living, even if the name had sparked some concerns when they were travelling to their new home a few weeks ago. However, unknown to her, her father James is well aware of the town and even a revelation about himself. He hadn't been keeping the information from her to be bad, but in order to protect her. Even Jake hadn't told her about who or more to the point, what he was. He knew that she was unaware about the town and James had spoken to him quietly and asked him not to say anything to her until he was ready to tell her and he had respected that. Of course he had told James that he was a wolf and James hadn't seemed fazed by it at all. Earlier that day he had gotten a call from Rori asking if he wanted to come round to the house as she wanted to go and explore it. It was one of the oldest buildings in the community and he had wondered what kind of secrets if any, it might hold.
So naturally he was only too happy about the invite. He was there in a flash, and knocked upon the door. It was opened literally seconds later, as she had been waiting for his arrival. “Hey, come on in.” She said opening the door wider, Jake greeted her by placing a kiss on her cheek and handed her a bouquet of roses that he had picked up on his way over. “For you my sweet girl.” She took them from him, blushing, “Thanks Jake, they're lovely.” He smiled and winked, “Not as lovely as you.” Her blush deepened, as she pushed some hair behind her ear. He was good at making her go a bright shade of red. She found a vase and put them inside and after grabbing them a soda from the fridge each and handing one to him, “So, this house is big, what part do you want to explore first? I mean there are like so many rooms that neither dad or I have even thought about looking in yet.” Jake wasn't sure where to begin. The house was massive, it was like something out of a movie. Like in the olden days, there would be a family above and quarters in the basement for the waiting staff. Maybe it had belonged to some royal family. Of course the house was way older than he was, so he had no idea who had it originally. He only knew that every new sheriff that arrived, was invited to live in the house. “Well, in my experience, the best place of houses is always either the attic, or the basement. So which is your preference, I'm happy with what you choose.” Rori looked around, she wasn't even sure where the point of access was to either an attic or a basement. “Have you been in the house before Jake? I'm not even sure if we have either of those.” She began to giggle a little, and Jake chuckled, shaking his head, “No, I've not. I just assume a house this big has at least one of them if not both. Let's just go on a wander and see what we can find. I'm surprised that you and your dad haven't already explored it.” He took her hand and began to walk along the massive marbled corridor. The marble was white with a splash of leopard colour dots around it and every so often there was a solid white marble pillar.
Rori smiled at the feeling of his hand in her own, “I think he's just been too focused on his new job and I've been trying to fit into the new school, exploring has been the last thing on either of our minds to be fair.” Well, that was a pretty reasonable excuse he decided and nodded, “Fair enough.” They might have found more out about the house had they looked through some history books, but that would have meant a trip to the library first and he couldn't be bothered with that. “Have you looked in any of the rooms other than the ones that you claimed as your own bedrooms?” He asked, wondering how much of the house they actually knew about. Rori shook her head, “The only rooms we know about, were the rooms where the doors were already opened. Like my bedroom, dad's and the two bathrooms, upstairs. Of course we know about the lounge, the kitchen and the downstairs toilet. There's also a games room that we discovered and a cinema room. There's a tennis court and swimming pool outside. That's as much as we know. But there are like four other rooms upstairs we haven't bothered with, just assuming they're more bedrooms.” She laughed gently and then as they reached the farthest part of the lower level of the house, she tripped over something on the floor. Luckily Jake's quick reflexes stopped her from actually flying, and he held her steady. “What was that?” She questioned, and he looked down, “Ah, looks like we've found the door to the basement.” For there was a decent sized rectangle cut out with a handle for pulling open. “Sounds like you've got quite the house from all that you've discovered already. I mean a house that has its own cinema, games room, swimming pool and tennis court? You got it lucky.” He wasn't jealous, as he wasn't really the type, but he was sure amazed. Well, he might get jealous if anybody was to try and crack onto Rori but that was a very different matter entirely.
Rori grinned, “I know, I feel like we've moved into a palace comparing to our last home, it's so cool.” Jake then bent down and pulled at the brass handle and though stubborn to begin with, after a few tugs it soon loosened and came free and the door opened, there was platform down a step and then a staircase leading down with a bannister on each side. From what Jake could see, it was still built from the marble, but a dark one this time. “You stay there until I find a light, I don't want you falling.” He said, then realising it sounded like a demand, added, “Please.” He didn't want to be controlling, but it was a natural instinct in him to keep her as safe as he possibly could. He made his way down, using the torch on his phone as a guideline and when he reached the bottom, felt for a light switch and found one, he turned the lights on and it was simply amazing. It was dark marble as he had thought, but it was full of carvings on the marble walls and ceilings, markings of which he was certain were Wiccan. He had seen some of them before in a book he had read. Could it be that this was an old Wiccan coven house? He definitely had to read up on this some more. He looked up, “Come on down, you have to see this to believe it.” Rori clambered down the stairs a little too fast, missed her footing on the bottom step and fell into Jake, once more, his quick reflexes catching her to stop her from falling. “Are you almost this clumsy?” He asked, winking and chuckling, she laughed, “Kind of, especially when I'm excited about something.” He stood back and, “What do you make of this?” He asked, and Rori looked around in her complete wonderment.
The ceilings and walls had carvings, but not of pictures, symbols, she couldn't be sure exactly what they were, but she was sure she had seen them on a television show she used to love, 'Supernatural'. The more she took in, the bigger her eyes grew. “I think I have seen markings like that before.” Jake nodded, “Me too.” But he had to be careful about what he said and how much, he had promised her dad he'd not tell her anything. He did think it was wrong of her father to keep it from her, but it was none of his business how James dealt with his daughter. Rori's eyes then fell upon a massive chest towards the back of the basement, even at such a big distance, and the closer she got, the bigger it got. “Come here.” She yelled across the basement room, she fell to her knees, and tried to lift the lid up, but it wasn't budging. “I can't get it, can you help me please.” Jake approached and with one swift tug, he had it up. His wolf strength coming in very handy it would seem. “There.” Inside it was like an Aladdin's cave of treasures.
“What is all of this?” Rori asked, as she picked up a few things, one by one. “I was thinking it was jewellery at first, but it's not, at least, not all of it.” She rummaged through, carefully pushing things aside, then she came across a smaller box, one that looked like a jewellery case. She opened it and sure enough, there was some bits and pieces of silver and gold. She lifted up a silver pendant, it had an eye on it, and the eye looked like it was a ruby stone. “This is stunning, unusual, but stunning.” She wrapped it around her neck, and fumbled with the clasp, until she felt Jake's hands closing it for her instead. “Thanks.” She turned to face him, “What do you think?” He smiled, “It suits you, old fashioned, but I like it. It brings out the colour or your hair and eyes.” He smiled again. She went back to the box and then found a leather bound book. It was quite big. She tried to get it out, but it wasn't easy. Once more Jake helped her and soon they had it out and he put it onto the floor. However, when he tried to open it, it stayed firmly closed. “What the hell?” Why would a book be shut firmly like that? He looked around the edge, “No lock that I can see, but it doesn't make sense that a book would be locked shut anyway.” Rori turned it to face her and as she touched it, the book began to glow white and then it flew open, at the same time, the eye in the pendant began to glow bright red, a flash of light came from her hand, “What was that?” She yelled, and at the same time, the glow from her hand was so powerful that it struck Jake and he went flying across the room and ended at the other side with a bit of a sickening thud. “Jake!” Rori yelled and ran across the room to get to him and make sure he was okay.

Jake had found himself a bit winded by being thrown across the basement floor. He had been stopped dead by the wall, which was initially a little painful, but he soon shook it off, what with having quick healing powers being a wolf. Still, he had no idea what had just happened. As Rori came running towards him, his eyes fluttered open and he sat up. “What just happened?” He asked, even though he actually remembered, Rori's hand had glowed white and he was then flown across the room. He knew that it was accidental, and unless he didn't know better, he would have sworn that some sort of power within Rori had just manifested itself. Rori shrugged, “I, I, I don't know, I, are you okay?” Quickly changing direction to show her concern for Jake.
He stood up and chuckled, “Well, I sure haven't been thrown with quite a force like that for some time, but yeah I'm fine.” He made his way back over to the chest and saw the book now lying open, he bent down to pick it up and as he did so, it slammed itself shut on him. “Well, that's rude.” He muttered, but loud enough for Rori to hear him and she laughed. “I guess it doesn't like you or something.” He tried to open it, but once more, it wasn't for budging. Rori took it from him and it opened itself, she didn't even need to turn a page or anything. Jake who was leaning over her shoulder, was affronted, “Huh, well, it definitely doesn't like me. What is it?” He asked, as Rori gently turned pages over and all she could see was a lot of symbols and words written in a language that she had hadn't seen before and wasn't even sure how to speak it. “I'm not sure, but some of the symbols in here are around the room on the walls and ceiling.” Jake then realised what it was and what it also meant, or could mean for Rori. “You know, that's a spell book, I am sure of it. The fact that it only opened for you, means that you my dear must be a witch.”
Rori shook and dropped the book and looked at him, “What? Don't be so daft.” There was no way she was a witch, why would he say that? “That's mean, witches are horrible and I'm not.” She said quite indignantly, which made Jake laugh. He pushed some of her hair away from her face gently, “Of course you are not horrible, but honey, not all witches are bad. Some are really good. Don't you remember Galinda from Wizard of Oz? She was good, wasn't she?” Rori smiled, that was one of her favourite films. “That's true, I guess I've been reading too many books or watching too many films with bad witches. But I don't understand that, I've never been able to do anything like this before. I mean, surely dad would tell me if I was a witch?” She asked, feeling quite confused by it all. True James had told him he knew about Pandora and that he was to keep it to himself and not let her know, but surely if he had known that Rori was a witch he'd have mentioned it? “Maybe he didn't know.” Jake said shrugging a little. What else could he say? If James did know about Rori, he hadn't mentioned it to him. “Witches hands don't glow white though do they?” Rori asked, not really to Jake specifically, it was more of a rhetorical question. “Not sure.” He replied anyway.
Rori picked up the book again and once more it opened, and looked through it and one of the pages it had the title, Cinderella Spell – For Fun. She wondered if that meant that if she did that, she would be stood in a ballgown and new hair and stuff. “Should I try this one?” She asked Jake turning the book to him. He laughed, “You could, but you don't need a spell to make you look any more beautiful.” Blushing, Rori smiled, “Well thank you. Let's see what happens.” Most of the writing had been in a language she wasn't familiar with, but this one was in English and it simply said, Cinderella will go to the ball, and was instructed to snap her fingers, she read the line and snapped her fingers, and there was a little breeze and then she was stood there in a blue ballgown with her hair piled up onto her head with flowers and makeup and glass slippers. It was just like she has turned herself into Cinderella at the ball. “Whoa, it worked, I can't believe it worked.” She said and giggled, as she twirled around in the stunning dress. Jake's eyes were wide open and his jaw dropped open. “You look absolutely stunning, you're taking my breath away Rori.” She might have the name of a completely different Disney Princess, but right now she looked like another one entirely.
Rori felt herself blush again, Jake definitely had a way with words, there was no denying that. Before she knew what was happening, Jake had taken her into his arms and began to dance with her. She giggled a little, “What are you doing?” She ridiculously asked, and he chuckled, “Dancing, might as well make use of that ballgown.” They moved around the floor a little and then he stopped. “I need to be honest with you Rori, since you've discovered all of this, I need to tell you something about me. I'm a werewolf.” Rori just stared him out, blankly, no real emotion on her face. He was worried how she would take it. “You mean like the ones that go all grr argh when the moon comes out.” She finally said finding words. He shook his head, “No, not like that. I change into an actual wolf, not slaves to the moon, not that kind. Like I could change right now, this second.” Rori wasn't sure if she wanted him to, what if he tried to attack her, but then she immediately felt awful for thinking that. There was something about Jake that told her that he wouldn't harm a bone in her body whether in wolf form or not. “Only if you want to.” She said softly, “Well I kind of have to take my clothes off first, as otherwise I'll burst them.” This made Rori blush all the more, “Oh, right, well, let me turn away.” She said softly as she turned, feeling her face getting redder and redder. Not that she wouldn't want to see him like that, but they weren't that far into their new relationship, it was all still really new. It wasn't the right time for that kind of thing.
When Rori turned away, he stripped off and changed shape, he then slowly padded his way towards where she was standing and then nudged her leg with his muzzle. This made Rori turn gently and then she was looking into the eyes of a big grey wolf with gentle eyes and soft fur. She reached down and petted the top of his head, ruffling the fur on his ears, as she did this, Jake shivered his head a little, the tough was amazing. He then continued to nudge his muzzle against her hand, and then her legs and side, he would protect her with everything that he had. He nudged her a few more times, and as he did this, Rori scratched at his head and ears, and then he weaved his way between her legs and walked back to where he had been before and turning to make sure her back was to him once more, he changed form and put his clothes back on. He returned to her. “So, I didn't scare you then?” He asked, smiling with hopeful eyes.
Rori took both of his hands in her own and squeezed them gently, “No, you didn't scare me. In fact, I thought it was beautiful and the thought that I have my very own, guard wolf, well, it's quite fascinating.” She then kissed him on the lips softly, letting it linger for a few seconds. Jake returned the affection and added a little nose rub. Then he held her out at arm's length. “Being a wolf like that, we do something that is called imprinting. I did that the very first day that I saw you. I didn't know what it was, not at first. I had to talk to my brother about the feeling that I had the insurmountable urge to protect you with everything that I have. Jonah told me that I had imprinted on you. He explained it and what it meant. In some cases it can just be a powerful love and affection or in other cases the same, but with added soul mate. There is only me and my brother left in our family. Our parents were killed by hunters a couple years ago, at least that's what we were told at any rate.” Rori still had his hands in her own and she squeezed them once again. “I'm sorry to hear that. Well, as you know my mother is dead, so we sort of have a little bit of that in common. I know what it's like to not have a mother. My dad raised me by himself, I don't know what I'd do if anything ever happened to him.” She felt tears form in her eyes and Jake pulled her to him, soothing her with his hand on the back of her head. “Hopefully you won't have to, for a long time yet, and when it does happen, you'll have me.” He really did hope that James would be around for a considerable time yet, having no idea of course that James was Fae and was actually immortal. With Rori also being half Fae, she too would be the same, as well as the witch side of her and even Jake himself, had a far longer life. Not immortal like a vampire, and he wouldn't live forever, but he would definitely have a long life.
Rori gently broke out of the embrace, “Thanks Jake, that means a lot and I'm glad that if anybody is going to be my soul mate it could be you. My heart fluttered the second that I saw you on my doorstep that night.” She felt herself blush again, but she was only speaking the truth. Jake smiled, “Same. Anyway, let's take a look through the rest of this chest.” He grabbed her hand in excitement to the chest and was soon on his knees. The first thing that he seen was some sort of folded up stand, it was made of strong wood, and it was varnished and had lots of markings on it. “I bet this is the stand for the book.” The book that was known as a grimoire, made its own way onto it when Jake put the stand together, which made him chuckle. Some more rummaging and he came across a map. He pulled it out gently and written across the top in large bold print was Campbell Coven. Underneath that again it said in slightly smaller letters, Campbell House. With a picture of, you've got it, the house that they were currently in. He nudged Rori, “Look, look, you're actually living in a witch coven house.” He showed her the map, her eyes opened wide. “Oh my god, so we are. Wait, Campbell? My mother's maiden name was Campbell, that must...” She trailed off, and Jake finished the sentence for her, “That your mother was a Campbell witch, and you're carrying on that line. Rori, the Campbell coven were a strong line of witches. Like they were the most powerful out there.” Rori's heart began to race a mile a minute, the though that she was a powerful witch was quite something to take on board. “I wonder if my mum ever told my dad? I mean he doesn't seem to be aware of me, unless he knew and was just keeping it from me to protect me.” She then remembered what she had thought about this place the day they were travelling. “Jake, you're not the only supernatural creature in this town are you?” He slowly shook his head, “No, Rori, I'm not. Most people usually figure it out with the town name, it kind of gives it away, we're a whole Pandora's box of creatures here. It's quite possibly why you and your father ended up here. A lot of supernatural creatures end up here and they have no idea why, they're drawn here.” Rori frowned a little, “There has to be a reason for that surely?”
She began to look through the chest some more, while Jake attached the map to the nearest wall, and as he did so, a lot of different places on the map began to take life. It was a map of Pandora Community and the lights seemed to depict each house and he also noticed that names were either still or floating around. Meaning that the people were either still in the one spot, or moving around. It reminded him of the Marauder's Map from Harry Potter. Rori then let out a bit of a shriek, “Jake, come here, look at this.” He came towards her in a rush, “What is it?” She showed him what she had found, it was an old scroll, which had been folded inside it's container neatly, she had taken it out and unfolded it. It was in a very old fashioned word font, but basically it was some sort of contract. She read it out and it said the following:-
“The gated town that will be called Pandora going forward, is gated for one reason, to keep non supernatural beings safe. This town has gates with which to keep the creatures of the night in one place. Any new creature will find themselves here, they will not know why, but they will just turn up. Thanks to the Campbell Coven, the town has been given pulses that can attract all supernatural beings. Nobody should be allowed to leave once they arrive.”
She looked at Jake with her eyes agog, “What do you think that means?” She asked, and Jake took it from her, and read it over himself silently, soaking in every single word and then looked at her, “It means that Pandora was or is meant to be a prison for people like us.” His eyes flashed amber, the colour his wolf eyes were, the anger coursing through him, this did not sit well with him. Why were they supposed to be kept here? They weren't dangerous. Well, some of them were but most of them kept themselves to themselves, like him and his fellow wolves. They had never really got into any sort of trouble at all. This prompted Rori to ask, “Have you ever tried to leave the community Jake?” He shook his head, “No, never had the need to, but also didn't think that I was, well, trapped here.” That thought saddened him a little, he was happy here, but the thought that he might never be able to leave, made him feel uneasy.
Rori looked at him, “Want to test the theory?” She asked and Jake looked at her frowning slightly, “You mean, try to leave the community? Try to walk out of the gates?” She nodded, biting on her lip a little, “Yeah, that's what I mean, I mean, what if we want to go to the beach on a lovely day, have you never thought about that?” He actually hadn't, but maybe that's because he had never had anyone to particularly enjoy a day at the beach with. “Yeah, I do, I want to try and see if that's what that actually means, or if it's a long gone forgotten thing, as that's so old.” He chuckled a little, but he was definitely intrigued and wanted to know if they could freely walk out of Pandora or not.

Rori wasn't sure about Jake wanting to do that, even though she understood his need to. She was worried that he might get hurt, what if there was some sort of invisible force that stopped people from leaving? She put her arm out to stop him, “Jake, wait, what if you get hurt trying to do it? I mean, seriously, has nobody ever tried to leave, ever? Are you legit telling me that anyone who has come here has never ever left?” I mean, it wasn't that big a town was it? Surely it didn't have an ever growing population, it was gated, that meant it had to come to an end at some point, right? Jake looked at her and sighed a little, “To be honest, I really don't know. It's not like we all sit and watch each other's moves twenty four seven. I mean, we've got everything that we need right here in the community.” Rori nodded and smiled a little and added, “Apart from a beach.” He chuckled, “Yeah, apart from a beach. Look Rori, I won't get hurt and if I do, I heal really quickly, I promise, it's part of what I am.”
She really was scared that he would get hurt, but at the same time, she too was itching to know if they could actually leave. “Have you always had a lot of people just suddenly turn up in Pandora then? I mean it says that it attracts people like us, does the community like magically expand to allow more to live here?” She was genuinely curious, because like a cul-de-sac, it only had so many houses within it, it couldn't accept new people unless people moved out first. Jake raised an eyebrow, “Truthfully, never really gave it much thought to be fair. Being in a wolf pack, we tend to just stick to our own and make sure our own are safe. Yeah, new kids start at school, but Rori, Pandora is probably a lot bigger than even I know.” This was all very strange, but it was also exciting, it was so very exciting, and her heart was racing a mile a minute at the adventure that she had suddenly found herself on. As they had travelled here, she had trepidation about it, but now that she was a part of this community, it was different, she felt different, she felt, empowered, and invincible, like she could do anything. “Okay, well, let's go and see what happens, shall we?” She left the grimoire on its stand and closed the chest over, and made her way up the steps, but she left the light on, so that it would be easier to find her way down in future. Jake followed. “You know, there is probably an easier way in there, rather than down these steps. I bet these steps are a quick get away, rather than an entry. We need to do more investigating when we've checked out this clause about leaving Pandora.” Rori shook her head and laughed, “Yeah, maybe. We can do more then, I'm fine with that, nothing better to do with my time right now anyway.” Jake then took Rori's hand and guided her towards the entry to the community.
It took them about twenty minutes to reach the gates, at a reasonable steady pace. The gates were closed, they were automatic ones, that needed a fob for people to get in out, well, Jake thought that was what it was for, but maybe it was only to let them in. He took out his own house keys and pressed the fob to the post at the gate, “This should open the gates.” It did work, the gates were opening, so that was something at least. “Well, that's a good sign, right?” Asked Rori, and Jake gave a bit of a smile, “I suppose, but maybe there is also a sensor for people walking through, then maybe that's when it will stop us from leaving.” Still holding her hand, he began to walk through the gates, but an invisible force sent him flying back, that he automatically let go of Rori's hand and she was able to carry on through the gates. She turned in horror to see him flying backwards, “How the hell was I able to get through and you were knocked back?” She shouted, as he had been sent quite a fair bit back.
Jake got up, and shook himself down, “I have absolutely no idea, but the only thing hurt is my pride. What the fuck does this mean?” He knew what it meant, it meant that maybe witches were okay to get out but anything else wasn't, not realising that Rori was also half fae, so going on that theory, she shouldn't have been able to get out of the community either. Rori made her way back through to Jake, and the gates closed behind her with a thud. It was almost as though it had done it with annoyance. “Are you alright though.” She asked as she reached him and enveloped him in a hug, which he returned. “I'm fine, honestly. I'm just annoyed that I couldn't get through. This means that we need to investigate it more.” He wasn't angry at Rori, but it was definitely infuriating that she was able to get through but he wasn't. So the only thing he could think of was that she was witch and she was allowed to do so. There was someone he could ask to test that theory, Sam, she was a witch. If she was able to get out then he would be right.
Suddenly Rori said, “Sam? Who's Sam? She's a witch too?” Jake stopped dead and looked blankly at her. “I didn't say anything like that.” Rori blinked, and gave him a bemused smile, “Yes, you did, you said Sam was a witch and you could get her to test the theory of witches being allowed to leave.” He frowned and rubbed at the back of his head and began to chuckle, “I didn't say that out loud Rori, that was in my thoughts, wait, what? You can read my mind? Have you been able to do that all along?” Rori shook her head, and looked just as confused as Jake did. “No, no, this is the first time, wait, can witches do that?” She asked, after all, this was all new to her. Jake was even more intrigued now about all of this, “Not as far as I know. I know what kind of species that can do that though, for certain and there are probably others that I don't know about. Fae can read thoughts. It's called telepathy.” Now, that the heck was a fae thought Rori, looking at him with a frown and a puzzled look on her face. “A what?” He chuckled, “Fae, stands for faerie, it looks like not only are you a witch, but you're also a faerie, but that means, if I can't get out, then how could you as a fae? Surely that would have stopped you from leaving as well.” This was getting so damn confusing and annoying and the fact he was struggling to get to any sort of answer was pissing him off. Then a lightbulb moment, “Ah.” He said pointing, “You're a Campbell witch, of course, what if it was the Campbell Coven that made it that we couldn't leave, but being a Campbell ancestor you can?” Well, none of this was completely proven. True, the magic opened up to her when she entered the basement and touched that book, but what she meant was, that unless they got other residents to try and leave, including her own father, they wouldn't know for certain. “So, I'm a Campbell witch and a fae, wait, does that mean that my dad...” She trailed off, and Jake nodded, “Yup, it means that your dad has got to be fae, your fae witch, fae on your father's side and witch on your mother's obviously.” Holy cow she thought, was that why her dad had been offered that job here? Had the community known and gave John her father's name? After all it said on that scroll that supernatural beings were attracted to the town. “So what do you want to do now then?” Rori asked, knowing that he had wanted to see if there was another way into the basement, but this seemed to have thrown him some. “I want to talk to a couple of people to see if they can leave and then we'll know for sure if it's just you. Like we can talk to Sam and Nick, two very different people beings and if you are still the only one that can leave, then it proves that it's to do with you being a descendent of the Campbell Coven.”
Rori sighed gently, but nodded her head, she could totally understand why he wanted to get to the bottom of this mystery, because if she was the one unable to get out, she'd want to know why. “If we do figure out that this force was put in place by a Campbell witch, then maybe I can somehow fix it?” She asked, giving him an affectionate look. Jake gazed at her, full of admiration. “Maybe you could, but I would also want you to be careful. You wouldn't know what kind of magic you would be meddling in, it could get you into a heap of trouble. Sam Austen, she's an amazing woman, one of the best witches in this town that I know of, if anybody can teach you anything, it would be her. Are you going to tell your dad about what you know about yourself and him?” It was bad enough that her dad had kept the town from her, it would be even worse if Rori played her father at his own game. Secrets in this town never had gone down well with anybody. “Yeah, I think so, I think we both need a good talk about everything. I want to know if he had always known or if this is all new to him as well.” Jake smiled and hugged her, kissing her on the forehead, “I'm glad, honesty is always the best policy. Come on, let's go check out the rest of the house, see if there's another way into the basement. I'll talk to Sam and Nick tomorrow, while you talk to your dad later.” She smiled at him, and squeezed his hand, “Sounds like a plan.” Jake kissed her once more, this time gently on the lips, and they both made their way back to her house to investigate it some more.
